I’m so honored to call designerjamiedrake a friend and mentor. We met years ago at an event where he was generously volunteering his time and educating others on designing homes. Since then, he’s been an incredibly supportive and inspiring presence in my life.

Jamie is a huge supporter of many organizations that make a difference in people’s lives, like immigrationequality. When I was detained by ICE on my way to my film screening dreamingamerican at hamptonsfilm Immigration Equality and leepercyace the writer/director worked hard with Representative Jerry Nadler and got me out of jail within 8 days. Jamie was moved that I benefited by Immigration Equality and this bonded our friendship even further.

We’ve since had the pleasure of working together and it’s been one of the best experiences. Jamie is so kind and respectful to everyone on site and be’s team and I’m so grateful to have him in my life. He’s truly the godfather of design and someone who needs no introduction. He’s a friend, mentor, and one of the kindest people I know in this industry.

Today we put 1 ft of gravel prior to pouring the concrete. We can’t wait to start building walls and putting up new siding and roofing.
